Works in Progress 2019

The first draft of Yeltsin in Texas! is complete. Josh and I worked tirelessly to pump out a hilarious new comedy. We really went for HAHA funny, not TEE-HEE funny! It will get a workshop at the Seagle Music Colony on 8/31 and then live and breath in Texas for 2020, starting with Opera in the Heights! and TCU. There are subsequent performances in Texas TBA soon.

With the success of Lucinda y las Flores de la Nochebuena and all of the many productions (including 6 this year), Josh and I have decided to write a year-round children’s opera. More details will be announced soon.

Smaller projects include a new song cycle about parenting and I am sketching ideas for two, non-singer works for orchestra. Summer is usually my busiest time for composing and I am loving the freedom to explore, expand, and dive into new works
