My first collaboration with Mark Campbell—something I hope will be the first of many. It was easy, fun, inspiring. The Gilmore Piano Festival and the Kalamazoo Symphony have been phenomenal commissioners! They have involved the creative team in marketing discussions, casting suggestions, but also taking the lead on the vision of the performance. We have a June 2025 workshop planned and then the premiere on May 1st, 2026. Joseph Lattanzi will play Van Cliburn and internationally renowned pianist, Stanislav Khristenko will be the soloist for the chamber orchestra. Julian Kuerti will conduct! Stay tuned for updates.
